Introducing Misha H. - A Creative Headshot Session with a Director and Writer

London Photographer Captures Authentic Headshots for Director and Writer

When a client reaches out looking for new professional headshots to update their website and online presence, it’s often because something exciting is happening in their world and that was definitely the case here. With a recently released short film gaining attention and a new project already in development, they knew it was time to present a consistent, confident image across platforms.

This individual an accomplished director and writer has a talent and energy that’s genuinely palpable. From the moment they arrived at my Wimbledon studio, there was a creative buzz in the air. Their enthusiasm, warmth, and clear artistic vision made it such a joy to collaborate.

Rooted in their South Asian heritage, they chose to wear a stunning blue sari—modernised and styled in a way that felt completely and beautifully theirs. It was during this shoot that I noticed something interesting: the deep red backdrop I’ve used in previous shoots (now a bit of a signature in my portfolio) truly came to life with the sari. To add further depth and variety, we also brought in a soft pink background to complement a second look: a more traditionally masculine outfit that honoured another side of who they are.

As someone who identifies as non-binary, they wanted the shoot to reflect both softness and strength, tradition and individuality. And we made space for all of that.

In this studio, the most important thing, above all else, is that every person feels comfortable, respected, and seen for who they truly are. It’s a space where there’s no need to shrink or perform—only to be. That guiding principle is what allows these portraits to carry not just professionalism, but truth.

We created a gallery of portraits that will serve them across professional platforms from their website and press kits to LinkedIn profile photos, social media, and beyond. As a Wimbledon photographer and London-based portrait artist, it’s a privilege to support creatives who are making powerful work and doing so while staying rooted in who they are.

Whether you're a filmmaker, performer, or creative professional of any kind, your headshots should reflect you—fully and unapologetically. If you’re ready to show up online with intention and authenticity, I’d love to work with you.
